Stuart Holmes (Stu to his mates) was taken from us far too early in 2011 leaving a young daughter Sophie and partner Rachael. Although only a member for a few short years, Stu's bubbly personality and presence is still around the Club House and Green and is recalled with fondness by those who new him. Sat 23rd Jan saw us celebrate his time with us with a humour-filled day in which Stu would have been in his element with plenty of laughter and a few refreshments at Badger's Bar after a hot day on the green. A cleverly contrived draw to balance out the less experienced players in all teams produced a very close result won by Eileen Ponting, Doug Laughlin skipped by Ian Little.
A very enjoyable day and a fitting way to remember Stuart.
