OH SO CLOSE!!

In beautiful bowling conditions Eileen and Pam came within 1 point of forcing a draw on the last end of their Champ of Champs Pairs match against Manly at Browns Bay BC this morning. At one stage they were 14:9 up but the Manly pair came back strongly to make it 17:14 after the penultimate end. Eileen then drew two immaculate shots in the final end but they could not get the third to force the draw and went down 17:16. The game was a ding-dong battle form start to finish and had it not been for a dropped four on the 14th end it is very likely that would have come out on the right side of the score.
