A great field turned out for this year’s New World – Birkenhead Sponsored Tournament and were blessed with another beautiful evening and superb playing conditions. A Drawn Triples format saw some excellent bowling and close competition. The first two teams were separated only by their shot differentials of 4 to 9, having both won two games and the same number of ends. A close result on anyone’s terms.
Our winners were Garry Helmling/Bill Briton/Gerry Belcher closely followed by Frank Lesslie/Garry Glenn/Howard Marriott. Third place went to Karl Glenn/Adam Richardson/Doug Laughlan. Well played Gentlemen, and many thanks to our visitors from Birkenhead and Glenfield Bowling Clubs for your support.
