A Good Win and Another Close One!

Despite grey skies, the rain did not eventuate and our Pennants matches at The Haven against Takapuna and Helensville on Saturday, 3rd November, produced some great results for the Club and some close finishes. Our 3 Kits teams all played extremely well throughout the morning to take the lion's share of the points against Takapuna in the Mixed Div. 2 Competition, and the Badgers had an "Oh So Close" match in the Mixed Div. 1 against Helensville with the visitors taking most of the points on offer only in the last two ends in all three games. The Badger's No.1 team of Pam Bostock, Morris Pita and Roy Parker remain with only one loss this season - a great record - and Teams 2 & 3 went down by the smallest of margins.

Our thanks go to both Takapuna and Helensville Mixed Teams for making the event a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all concerned. Good company and good fun is what Bowls should be all about, and this was certainly evident this Saturday.
