Yet another GNaTH! (Great Night at The Haven)

Our Quiz Night on Friday 21st once again proved a be a winner for all concerned as even the also-rans came away having enjoyed a very entertaining and fun night at The Haven, home of Beach Haven Bowling Club.

9 teams fielded over 70 players, all chasing the prizes by correctly answering our Quiz Master, Dave Hilson’s, nicely balanced set of questions on subjects ranging from the world of entertainment and sport to how well we know our own suburbs in Kaipatiki.

With a maximum of 100 points at stake two of the top three teams scored over 70 with the winner at 82 which were remarkable efforts given the nature of questions. This clearly indicates we have some very clear minds in our suburbs which, to mere mortals like your scribe, appear to store a remarkable amount of relatively obscure information.

Our congratulations go to the 3 top teams, these being “Lucky Dip – 3rd, Party Mix – 2nd and Red Rox - 1st ---- Team names that are now part of the history of this Club.

No evening like this should pass without thanking all those who attended and contributed to a very memorable occasion, especially those who also support the club in so many other ways. Regan Golding and Glenn Carpenter and the team from Ray White, Beach Haven, you are stars!!
